Cyber-Duck are pleased to announce this week the successful launch of Housepals – the flat share & roommate website.

HousePals is a leading flat share and roommate matching service, connecting landlords with current and potential tenants. Users seeking accommodation have the ability to search the website’s massive community for a new room, flat, house or even a new friend to share their accommodation with (a HousePal). On top of that, Landlords can post new listings and connect with potential tenants via the revamped online service.

Late last year, Cyber-Duck were contacted by HousePals to help them produce a fresh website as their existing one was old and out-dated. At the beginning of the year, Cyber-Duck embarked on a journey to produce a slick and appealing interface with a superior user experience. New features of the website include suggestive search functionality, enabling the user to comprehensively search their local area, specify their accommodation requirements and stipulate their budget. The website also has a new PriorityPal service which has been introduced to offer members of the HousePals community the chance to contact advertisers early, and make an enquiry before the listing becomes available to others.

The revamped HousePals website boasts a new suggestive search functionality and Google Maps API.

The website also makes use of Google Maps API to enable users to virtually see and compare the destination of all listed apartments, as well as view the accommodation in ‘street view’ mode. Cyber-Duck have also heavily incorporated social media channels into the new website. Lead developer on the project, Gareth Drew was delighted with the outcome, stating:
