Development Director
Sylvain is the Development Director at Cyber-Duck, managing a team of highly experienced software engineers and web developers ensuring that projects are delivered according to business requirements on time. He also fulfils a project management role for the more technically orientated projects. Sylvain has an MSc in e-business and multimedia engineering from Telecom Lille 1, France.
His areas of specialisation includes developing complex CRM, CMS, ERP and eCommerce utilising XHTML, CSS, Flash, AJAX, PHP, ASP.NET and database technologies. Sylvain also pioneers augmented reality, iphone and mobile apps at Cyber-Duck blurring the lines between offline and online. With such breadth of experience he excels in particular at lateral thinking and finding innovative solutions that meet even the most complex commercial requirements. Sylvain believes that digital projects should be integrated into business applications and project plans, utilising the versatility and efficiencies of the web to transform them into powerful marketing, data mining and business tools.
Prior to joining Cyber-Duck Sylvain was Project Manager for a French ISP working on groupware / Web-based enterprise collaborative platforms. Prior to that as a web coordinator, he helped the entertainment group Six Flags to reinforce its web-presence in Europe. He also worked in Florida for ultimatewasher.com, developing e-commerce strategies. The company tripled its sales in its first 18 months.
