One of the biggest events in the user experience (UX) calendar, UX London gets underway next week at the Trinity Laban Centre, in south-east London. The team are set to present, exhibit and mingle with the finest in the industry.
Cyber-Duck directors Matt Gibson and Danny Bluestone will present a workshop during the afternoon on the second day of the event (Thursday 12th April, 2013), “Designing better experiences”. The workshop will highlight the core principles of user centred design (UCD) and explain how it assists product owners, designers and developers to produce better user experiences.

The workshop, running as one of the afternoon sessions, will include hands-on activities and demonstrations which explore the techniques used for building and implementing an enhanced, agile UCD process from researching and gathering requirements to evaluating and refining designs. Be sure to get to the Glass Room at 2pm to learn about these insights, which have been refined over 8 years.

UX London, now in it’s 5th year is the UK’s first and most popular dedicated usability, information architecture and UX design event. The event runs from the 10th-12th April, hosting 35 of the top speakers and thought leaders in the industry, attracting UX professionals from across the UK and Europe. It offers a chance for practising designers to brush up on their UX knowledge, learning from the very best, as well as networking with peers and comparing different ways of thinking.
As part of Cyber-Duck’s participation with the event, we will also have a stand set up in near the guest registration area in the building foyer. The Cyber-Duck team will be demonstrating some of the latest user-testing technology, showing off our expertise in eye-tracking with the Tobii X2-30 eye tracker. The Ducks intend to show guests just how well an educated and informed eye-tracker testing can really benefit a web re-design, and what we can learn about our visitors.

Cyber-Duck’s involvement at UX London comes just a week after Danny Bluestone was featured in the revered and popular magazine, UX Mag. In the article, Danny spoke about why having an accredited and certified UX processes benefits a digital agency.
Due to the popularity of the event this year, the tickets for UX London are sold out. However we are just two weeks away from the next Cyber-Duck sponsored Digital Pond meet-up, should you want to meet the team and talk about our workshops.
