Zig Zag goes multi-media with a new website

By Cyber-Duck, Posted 8 years ago

Cyber-Duck's specialist development services have helped top TV production house, Zig Zag get their website up and running.

Zig Zag Productions is one of the UK’s largest television companies. The company make a variety of programmes for digital and terrestrial television. Zig Zag specialises in incisive and engaging documentaries, covering everything from sport to politics and science to the weird and wonderful.

In the past Zig Zag has brought viewers programmes such as the Dawn Porter series, following journalist Dawn through various social experiments and The Girl with 8 Limbs which documented the astonishing case of an Indian girl born with four arms and four legs and said by locals to be the re-incarnation of the Hindu goddess Lakshmi.

The Challenge

Zig Zag designed their website internally, but required a skilled and speedy team to develop and code the project in compliant XHTML with a comprehensive CMS (content management system) in a short space of time.

The Solution

The Cyber-Duck team developed the site and integrated Drupal, an open-source CMS platform enabling the client to have full control over their website.
Even though Cyber-Duck was not responsible for the design of the project, the team ensured the Zig Zag website profited from Cyber-Duck’s acute attention to detail and benefitted from the same level of commitment as larger design and development projects.

The Result

Zig Zag has a new, fully functioning brochure website to showcase its’ broad range of brilliant programming and allow the public to get in touch. Due the modular build structure, it will be easy for our client to add video content such as trailers and clips to the website in the future.
