Matt leads the production team, right from the early stages in capturing clients’ (and their users') needs, to driving the UX research and design phases, through to overseeing the development and QA, to launching successful products and services. Matt strongly believes in designs that are user-centric, original and, critically, achieve their goal.
Moreover, Matt often leads digital transformation and service design projects with a personable and dedicated approach. It is through close collaboration with global and British heritage brands like the Bank of England, University of London and the Institute of the Motor Industry that Cyber-Duck has gone from success to success.
Matt frequently shares his user experience insights at notable events, including SXSW, UXPA, UX London, UX Alive and Reasons to be Creative. An avid writer, he’s contributed to notable publications like Web Designer, .Net and Smashing Magazine; being published in the acclaimed book ‘Responsive Web Design: Vol. 2’ for the latter.
He has also featured on our TV screens; first he produced an interactive comic for Channel 5’s The Gadget Show, where he had Iain M Banks roaring with laughter; then he featured on BBC Watchdog by helping to shine a light on websites that trick and confuse users into paying more than they bargained for. Outside of the office, he enjoys teaching and mentoring the next generation of designers, with General Assembly, UEL, Nottingham and City University.
