A better world beyond digital

Giving back and making social and environmental impact is in Cyber-Duck’s DNA. It takes multiple forms, from powerful, enduring relationships with local charities and organisations focused on digital diversity, through to tackling the climate emergency and mentoring the next generation of digital talent.

Building powerful charity partnerships

A charity based close to Cyber-Duck’s heart and HQ in Hertfordshire UK, Goods for Good, helps people in need across the UK and around the world with new, high quality and unsold essential goods, reducing waste and poverty. We’ve closely supported the charity since 2014 with fundraising, advice and technical expertise.

We’re also proud to support our team and clients’ fundraising. We’ve helped charities like Teddy’s Wish and Snow Camp.

Supporting the next, diverse generation of talent

We firmly believe we have a responsibility to nurture the next generation of digital talent and want that generation to be inclusive and reflective of our diversity.

That’s why we take on apprentices, provides mentoring through 1,000 Black Voices and Teens in AI, and have lead student workshops at BIMA Digital Days for 10 years.

We also share our digital expertise with school, university and bootcamp students across the UK, through hackathons and lectures on digital transformation, technology and user-centred design.

Tackling the climate emergency

With the world now in climate emergency and the digital industry now emitting more greenhouse gases than aviation, Cyber-Duck is committed to doing business sustainably and achieving Net Zero emissions by 2050, or even before.

That’s why we’re accredited for ISO 14001 that sets out our environmental targets and how we’ll achieve them. Read our carbon reduction plan to find out more.

Supporting our industry

We’re passionate about donating our time and expertise back to our digital community, through awards, panels and industry events. We’re regular judges for awards such as BIMA and Teens in AI and speak regularly at and sponsor open-source events such as DrupalCon, Laracon and Laravel Live.
