Knowledge and experience

Our New Business Manager, Tom looks after our existing and prospective clients. He ensures they are well informed about how Cyber-Duck’s accredited design process can add value and solve their specific challenges. His role is the key to identifying clients’ needs and offering practical, actionable advice.

Instrumental to Cyber-Duck’s strong year-on-year revenue growth, Tom has worked to secure key clients, including Cancer Research Technology, Cambridge English and the IMI. He enjoys working with clients to understand how we can meet their goals using technology, whether it be a website, app, marketing campaign, branding or a combined approach.

Rapidly rising through the agency, Tom joined us shortly after being awarded a First Class degree in Business Management from Middlesex University. Previously, he gained hands-on experience running his own boutique mobile app development business; developing the world’s first augmented reality golf game, Partee.

Tom was part of the team behind our popular UX Companion app, which won the 'Best Mobile Campaign' at the first UK Agency Awards.

Blended skillset

Tom believes in constant learning, and enjoys pursuing further skills by diving into new challenges. He attends hackathons regularly and gets involved with Cyber-Duck’s R&D projects, drawing on his background in iOS and web development.

This has led to Tom working on some of Cyber-Duck’s most creative, ambitious side projects. He built the first version of UX Companion, our glossary for user experience terminology that went viral in the iOS App Store, following selection for Product Hunt. He has also explored texting apps for smart watches and beacon-powered social networks.

He is building thought-leadership in mobile technologies with a strong grasp on apps and mobile marketing, writing articles exploring how to get started with mobile strategies. Recognising his achievements, the first UK Agency Awards nominated Tom for the ‘Rising New Business Star’ last year.
